Author; Benny N JoewonoAmlapura, KOMPAS.com - A giant mushroom appears and grows under the banyan tree in the Strait Indigenous Village, Karangasem regency, eastern part of Bali. Fungal leaf sheet having a diameter of one meter over on Friday evening seemed to be a spectacle of tens of citizens.
Called the giant mushroom because of its size is much larger than the usual mushroom appears above the soil surface, which generally has a size of leaves like an umbrella, which is not more than 10 cm.
"The fungus whose existence became known only on Friday afternoon, has leaves like a nyiru, or a round tray made of plaited bamboo," said Komang Mariana, one of the village Indigenous Strait on Friday (22/07/2011).
He suspects that the giant mushroom is probably already there since five days ago, but it was only known to the people who come to the site that relates to doing cremation ceremony, which is cremation.
"The existence of a new fungus known when residents will pray to the Pura Dalem related to cremation, which is located adjacent to the banyan tree under which to grow mushrooms," he said.
Giant mushroom, he continued, growing on the soil surface, just beneath the banyan tree by the Indigenous Villages named after the tree K. Breech Strait.
The tree itself is crushed in the gate next to pemedal or Pura Dalem. "His position is quite hidden, because it blocked part of a large banyan tree trunk," he said.
The existence of a giant mushroom, it seems directly spread to a number of other areas until later invited the desire of citizens to see it directly. "As the region grows in the temple, not one citizen who dared to touch him," said Mariasa.
Even by the Desa Adat Strait, he explained, the fungus was given special attention by using gauze lined white residents.
Physically, a plant that usually appears in damp it, not unlike mushrooms as usual, only just a super jumbo size.
"But as it grows in a sacred place, the village of Indigenous Strait will try to detect through the noetic or the psychotherapy," he said.
Currently, says Mariana, party officials Strait Indigenous Village is making efforts to know another meaning behind the emergence of the fungus through the services of smart people.
"Even if the appearance of fungus as a sign, we certainly expect a good sign," he explains.
